Uh poco loco y el final de la vacacione!

So much has happened since my last post.  I'm on the iPad now so the post will be short and sweet.
Here we go for the highlights and lowlights:
1. Vegas was a hoot, great shopping, fun gambling, fab show (Million Dollar Quartet)
2. Neon Museum (Vegas) never disappoints - getting better all the time
3. Palm Springs - died & gone to heaven - I want a house there
4. Shag Store - great store, great staff - thanks Monet & Jeff
5. I turned 50 - fun day, though the Parker was a shit choice for dinner, should have gone to Tropicale again for old style service and swanky surrounds
6. I bought too much and thanks to my husband for my Shag pressie (sounds positively inappropriate), my brother Pete for a Shag gift voucher (well used and again sounds inappropriate), and Marie for the Marc Jacobs bag.
7. Mexico I love you - I definitely was Mexican in a past life - I adore this place and it is still fantastic - I am coming back
8. Frida Kahlo & Diego Rivera - you rock and am also loving Tamayo, Siquiero, and Orasco - Mexico has the BEST art (other than Shag)
9. La musica - still adore it - there are songs that make me cry (see I am Mexican)
10. Blessed that I get to have divine holidays (said a prayer to the patron saint of Mexico, the Virgin of Guadalupe (in her basilica - I went twice!) so I can have fab holidays, a house in Palm Springs, and my husband and friends to share it with (oh and nice shoes and Shag stuff too).

Adios, hasta luego, it's nearly all over - off to LA tomorrow, then home to see my puppies and Rob.
Muchas gracias por todos!

From the Ho to Hollywood!

And by Ho I mean the iconic and divine Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Moving on from NYC we flew to Phoenix, Arizona into the lovely, but very hot and dry desert heat.  We picked up our car and headed to Scottsdale arriving at our hotel, the Valley Ho.  The Valley Ho has been around since the 50s and what a sight to behold, and our room did not let us down either.  It was sensational, and can I say, a very cheap and reasonable piece of luxury, our home for the next 4 nights.  More importantly the pool was my location and activity for the time in Scottsdale, mixed with a bit of shopping, whilst Rob played golf on 4 of the many course that Scottsdale is famed for.  A lovely time was had by us both, mixed with wining and dining, and downing my new favorite cocktail, the Liz Taylor, a house specialty at the Valley Ho.  I did also visit the Desert Botanical Gardens, which was a loved activity, minus the 44C heat that I was walking around in for 5 hours.

Leaving Phoenix we headed west to Anaheim to meet up with Marie, arriving late on Sunday evening.  Our Monday trip to Disneyland was fun and action packed, and Tuesday we headed to LA, with our activities over the next few days being Paramount Pictures movie tour, Hollywood Boulevard, Rodeo Drive - all the sights for Marie as she'd not done them before.  Mixed with a little shopping and lots of iconic eating establishments, we are now ready to move on to the city of sin, our fav Las Vegas, for sun, fun and whatever else occurs.  But as you know, "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!"

A few snaps from the past week.....
